    • I do have private pay rates as well. A value of mine is receiving treatment no matter your finances, I do provide sliding scale. This is a conversation that we both engage in to find a fair price. No form, just talking and seeing what you’re comfortable with.

As this is a new adventure, please contact your insurance to ensure no barriers to treatment.

  • Waves Therapy LLC treats couples and adults who may be dealing with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma disorders, and those struggling with relationship conflict.

Schedule your appointment

Prioritize your mental well-being by scheduling a consultation. We can discuss goodness of fit, and goals of treatment during this time. At the end of the consultation we can discuss scheduling if you feel we could do great work together

About me

Hi! My name is Amanda and I am an LCSW. I set out on my own to be able to provide care that shows that clients aren’t just numbers. I like to have the flexibility to sit in the space we are in. I have been practicing for about 8 years. I have passion for my job and care for my clients. I read often, listen to podcast, and find that my curiosity only strengthens with this career. I am human and do not strive to be perfect in practice. I will encourage you to do the same in this space. I will pronounce (many) words wrong, have moments of misattunement, and forget things from time to time. I believe this can be a great place to discuss these moments and practice how to respond for when this inevitably happens in your relationships. I am not originally from Oregon so don’t be shocked if you have to give me more information about an Oregon spot you’re referring to. I have two massive dogs that I can always find time to talk about. I will use humor from time to time in practice, I will give you too many book recommendations, and you can distract me by talking about pets. If you have learned nothing about me except that my dogs have my heart, then that’s okay.

My approach in therapy

I take an eclectic approach. I utilize multiple different theories in order to figure out what works best for you. My most common talk therapy styles will be a mix of CBT, DBT, and emotion focused therapy.

I do offer trauma modalities as I am certified in EMDR and trained in IFS.

I focus on the process vs. progress. I believe this is how progress becomes rooted in our day to day. Therapy can seem like a challenging time; it is my goal to be there to offer support, guidance, and maybe a laugh from time to time, through evidence-based practices, as we navigate through this process.

Growth isn’t neat, it is messy.

I tend to take a direct approach and encourage you to give feedback. This is your treatment, let me know if something works or doesn’t.
